19k mos meme11/21/2023 But I've heard 11's have easier access to ranger school, sniper school, airborne, air assault, and can drop RASP packets more often than others. I don't get to choose which MOS I actually get, I might become an 11C or an 11B. But I probably won't get that high of an ASVAB score to get this MOS This seemed cool too, but I wasn't able to get much of a detailed description of what day to day life is like, and I don't know if any schools are available for this MOS like ranger or RASP.Working overtime is a no for me because I'm going to be enrolled in community college during active duty, so I need some off time. Seems cool enough, I get to ride tanks right? But I've heard that you need to work overtime a lot and don't actually do anything with the tank, just fix it and do PMCS.I haven't been able to get much info on this so any input would help. Since I wanna go into medicine, this seemed like the perfect MOS, but considering most 68W's are going to be on garrison a lot, and not as line medics in war, I'm curious as to what they actually do.But the Stetsons are kinda weird, I understand that it is tradition to wear the Stetsons and the spurs, but why the Stetsons? You actually earn your spurs by doing a spur ride, but the Stetsons just seem kinda weird, and you can't actually earn them, because they are bought at stores. I also heard that many of them are gay, i don't know if this is a joke or not, not homophobic in any way, just curious if they actually are. But I heard they have less opportunities for sniper schools and ranger school and RASP, which is kind of a bummer. 19D seemed pretty cool, from my understanding they are mobilized scouts? So they do recon and stuff, with vehicles? Idk.Which I don't want to do for the rest of my contract, if I don't get into the rangers. The downside is, we are transitioning over to peace time, which is great for the country as a whole, but since 11's aren't a specialty MOS, most of them will be tasked with cleaning duty and area beautification. I don't get to choose which MOS I actually get, I might become an 11C or an 11B. ![]() ![]() I've researched 90 percent of the MOS's the army has to offer and I ended up liking a few of them, namely 11X, 19D, 19K, 12B and 15 series. My main goal in life is to become a surgeon, which means I would have to go to med school. I'm joining the military to serve my part and get benefits for college.
